Basic concept: With the 2012 election cycle ahead of us, the article will deal with oppertunities on LBCC's campus, from lectures on the history and significance of our democracy being offered by Professor Harrison, to voter registration drives, and other events.
Sources: Looking to get in contact with Robert Harrison for a interview, and also going to talk to the office of Student Life and Leadership, to see if they have any plans. Not entirely sure exactly to talk to about voter registration drives, but will try to get that information. I also will use offical oregon election board website to get information on oregon primaries, important dates for when one has to be registered to participate in the primary, and other important election dates students need to be aware of.
My goal is to provide a detailed and accessable resource that will hopefully help the LBCC student body find ways to actively participate in our democratic process.
Also, this seems like an excellent story in which to further practice limiting and overcoming bias.
